Dr. Bruce Ellison specializes in arthroscopy and
minimally invasive orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Ellison performs completely arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs,
and arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions.
Dr. Ellison graduated locally from U.C. Berkeley in Mechanical Engineering,
and from Stanford University’s Medical School.
As a trained physician first and surgeon second, he has a commitment and passion
for providing non-operative orthopaedic care that incorporates the latest
minimally invasive technologies only when operative intervention is necessary.
Dr. Ellison performs artrhoscopic knee, artrhoscopic shoulder, artrhoscopic ankle
and artrhoscopic wrist surgery when these surgeries are necessary. Dr. Ellison is a
strong patient advocate, and a licensed Qualified Medical Evaluator
performing qualified medical examinations ( QME ) regularly.
Dr. Ellison performs workers compensation qualified medical examinations in
San Francisco County, San Mateo County, Alameda County and Contra Costa County.
Dr. Ellison sees a significant percentage of worker's comp patients as part of his normal practice in Redwood City.
Dr. Ellison is able to understand the pain of industrial injuries. Following thorough discussion with the
injured worker and following thorough examination of the painful area of the body that results from the injury,
Dr. Ellison is able to reach a reasonable diagnosis and describe a treatment plan which often allows
the worker to achieve a full recovery.
Dr. Ellison believes that a doctor patient team approach is essential to translate the newest
technologies into the rapid return of normal, pain free activity for his patients.
